Jeremey Allgeyer

Jeremey’s Story

“When reflecting on my engineering education from Doane University, I appreciate the numerous opportunities that helped me to reach the position I’m in today. Thanks to donors, I was able to think less about the financial burdens of higher education and apply myself in extracurriculars that changed the way I view the world. From developing personal relationships with professors and peers to dedicated time in research and internships, I was able to develop my academic self truly. More than academics, however, the generosity of donors provided the threshold to go beyond my comfort zone in which, ultimately, I became the president of my fraternity, joined the track and field team, pursued multiple clubs and honor societies, worked the scoreboard during football season, and developed lasting relationships with Doane faculty and staff. I now work as an electrical engineer performing substation design and preparing for grad school. Thanks to the opportunities laid out by your support, I developed the confidence and skillset to achieve so much. Your encouragement kept me striving for more. Thank you for providing this truly transformative experience to both me and the future students to come.”

-Jeremey Allgeyer ’24 / Owensboro, KY / Engineering graduate, specializing in electrical and mechanical engineering with minors in data analytics and software development
