Doane University welcomes gifts of stocks, bonds, and securities. These gifts may provide tax advantages and savings to you unavailable with other giving methods.

To ensure timely recognition and proper crediting for your gift of appreciated securities, Doane needs to know the name of the stock, the number of shares you’re transferring, and where you want your donation to go (i.e., endowed scholarship, Doane Fund, endowment, etc.) Please complete Doane’s Stock Transfer Form.
To be eligible for a charitable deduction for a tax year, donations of stock need to be received by the end of the year. Because different assets take different amounts of time to be transferred, you should initiate your transactions as early as possible.

Give Through Donor Advised Funds
Giving through Donor Advised Funds works the same way as giving through check, and you can find our address for mailing checks above. Please list “Doane University” and our tax ID of 47-0377991. There should be a place for special instructions, and that is where you can list the designation or fund you wish to support and any other instructions you may have. If the administrator of your DAF needs contact information, please list advancement@doane.edu and (402) 826-8258 as our contact information, as multiple people have access and can provide a faster response to any follow-up questions.
Join the Champions Club
The Doane Champions Club lets members make monthly recurring gifts to support students through the Excellence Fund, athletics, fine and performing arts, scholarships, and Greek Life. These steady gifts help the university plan and invest in students more effectively.
Monthly giving makes it easy to give without the pressure of a lump sum donation and reduces fundraising costs, paper use, and mailings—so more of your gift goes directly to students. Members have full control over their giving and can change, increase, or cancel their gift at any time. Champions Club members also receive a special lapel pin and the satisfaction of knowing their support makes a lasting impact.

Give a Matching Gift
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. If your company participates, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to Doane University may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

Doane University’s health center just got a major makeover, and it’s all about making student wellness easier and more accessible. With a full-time medical provider, Jody Yank, APRN, now on campus, students can get the care they need faster than ever. “Students can now receive faster access to care, be assessed, and have medications prescribed if necessary.
