Aaron Blackman

Aaron’s Story

“I came to Doane because of the possibility of building an esports program from the ground up at a university I respected, which was too good to pass up! My twin, my wife, and many friends loved their time here. I feel honored to hopefully be creating a fun team and environment for this next generation of Doane students.

Doane is unique because the community is built every year between the students, the faculty/staff, and everyone in between. Doane truly values collaboration, plus there is always someone willing to go the extra mile to help.

I appreciate that everyone is excited about the esports program. Rather than limiting us to what other schools in the region do with their esports programs, the leadership at Doane encourages me to set a new bar. Donations help us achieve that goal.

I’m excited about this campaign because of the Performing Arts Center, and I know the leadership team and the board of trustees want to continue developing the campus! Gifts affect the Doane experience because that money is smartly reinvested to make campus life easier and better every single day.”
